Welcome to the International Intelligence Summit™, a non-partisan, non-profit, neutral forum that
uses private charitable funds to bring together intelligence agencies of the free world and the emerging democracies.
At this past Summit a total of 31 foreign nations and entities were represented. The purpose of The Summit is to provide an
opportunity for the international intelligence community to listen to and learn from each other, and to share ideas in the common war
against terrorism. The Summit's Advisory Council includes some of the leading figures active in the field today.
The list of presenters at The Summit include many of the top leaders of the intelligence, espionage, counter-terrorism
and counter-intelligence agencies from around the free world. The Summit is intended to be the most prestigious world
conference on international studies, intelligence policy, terrorism, and homeland security.
WHEN: October 2008
WHERE: Washington, DC
WHAT: Because it is funded by a public charity, the Intelligence Summit™ must always remain a bipartisan non-profit educational forum where members of the international intelligence community will be able to meet each other on neutral ground. Delegates from every free nation and emerging democracy are invited to attend.
FACULTY: On the one hand, The Summit recruits active serving members of the government to serve as neutral moderators. The panelists, on the other hand, are usually recently retired senior officials: generals, agency heads, etc., who are a bit more free to speak their minds than serving officers. In some cases, panel members are authors, members of the media, or academic experts.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: The audience is predominantly middle and senior level intelligence officers and business CEOs. There is also a strong core of senior academic and media leaders who wish to keep abreast of the latest in intelligence technology, as well as risk assessment. Particular emphasis is placed on inviting émigré groups from soon to be emerging democracies. Experts in regional/international studies, as well as law enforcement and terrorism specialists should find The Summit extremely valuable.
RESTRICTIONS: The press and public will be allowed to attend on a space available basis, subject to waiting lists on condition that all conversations at The Summit, whether inside the classrooms or outside in the hallways, are on a "not for attribution" basis. That is, the words may be quoted but neither the speaker nor his agency may be identified by name. Most sessions are intended to be unclassified, but special arrangements, some classified facilities such as transportation to a SCIF, can be made as the need arises. The general public will be restricted to the exhibit floor. Admission to the classrooms and discussion areas will be restricted by encrypted pass and security check prior to entering the floor of The Summit itself.
OUR ORGANIZATION :
The International Intelligence Summit™ initally was founded as a fully authorized program of the International Holocaust Education Center (IHEC). Itself founded in 1995, IHEC is a nationally recognized publicly supported charity for educational purposes. IHEC contributions are tax deductible under section 501(c)(3) of the IRS code.
Originally incorporated as the International Holocaust Education Center, after 9/11 IHEC rapidly expanded its educational mission from fighting racism to fighting terrorism, and is now known as the Intelligence and Homeland Security Education Center.
In 2008, the Intelligence Summit was incorporated in its own right as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization in the District of Columbia. As such, all contributions to the Intelligence Summit continue to be tax deductible and the Intelligence Summit itself enjoys tax-free status. Because it is a private charity, the Intelligence Summit can respond more rapidly and flexibly than most government agencies and seeks to be a leader in developing innovative programs in the war against terrorism.
PROGRAM
We intend that most of the Intelligence Summit™'s programming will be determined by the intelligence community itself. After all, we exist to serve them. The program schedule will be broken down into five or more parallel sessions.
International Session
The lead session will, of course, be international area studies, where the presenters will be members of the national intelligence services involved. Over a three-day period, nation after nation will describe the world and its problems as they see it from their own country. This is a must session for threat analysts and regional experts, and embassy spokespersons who have a primary intelligence responsibility.
Business Session
Business leaders from around the world will meet to share their lessons learned and experiences in the war against terror. CEO's, security officers, and IT staff will be taught by the most experienced faculty with the latest practical information on how to defend your business from attack, learn the latest developments in competitive intelligence, and see the most advanced technological advances in the world.
Technology Session
For three consecutive days, the cutting edge technology of the world will be on display. Hardware or software, counter-terrorism or intelligence, from UAVs to WMD detection, these panels and presenters offer the best that is being built. Special attention will be given to requests for future technology from the intelligence community.
Counter-Terrorism Session
This is the session where the military leaders of the free nations meet to listen to and learn from each other. If there is a global war on terrorism, how are our partners around the planet fighting it? Where are we winning? What tactics are losing? Which nation's generals are doing better and why? Is Al Qaeda regrouping or falling apart? Are we sharing enough information or too little to win the war?
Homeland Security Session
Some of our allies have very different approaches to domestic security. What can we learn form Singapore, Taiwan, the United Kingdom and Israel? This is a must session for law enforcement and first responders from the national, state and local levels of every free nation around the world.
Specialist Sessions
Every specialty and subgroup in the entire world of intelligence, counter intelligence, counter-terrorism and law enforcement will be represented in various classes at The Summit. Whether members of the media, the academic sector, or the corporate community each will have an opportunity to meet their peers in engaging and informative panels. Topics to be announced after consultation with each service.
DONORS
It is intended that the majority of The Summit's expenses will be covered by tax-deductible charitable donations to The Intelligence Summit. Additional information on how to donate will be forthcoming shortly.
