February 20, 14:00 - 14:45
Abstract:
Security issues for open source technologies continue to be of major concern for all organizations. Because of the very nature of open source software, there are several security issues to consider. When evaluating the vulnerability of open source technologies it is important to consider both the code verification process, the structure of the group involved in the project as well as whom the contributors are. This presentation will discuss the latest analysis on popular open source technologies including: Apache, Kerberos, Tomcat and MySQL.
